FINK
Fink is a rare find. A musician who can play to the masses – having headlined over 400 festivals – without selling out a single turntable-crowding original follower. With a worldwide reputation for spinning tunes to dwindling sunsets and writing about the world of romance where – despite our heartbreak – the sun never ceases to rise, Fink is a soul-soothing DJ and soul-searching singer songwriter.

FINK
Born in Cornwall to a folk musician father and a music manager mother, Fin Greenall was always destined for the recording studio. However, upon hearing a 45-minute Orb track quickly followed by a one-minute Japanese thrash metal track on John Peel’s radio show, Fink’s musical destiny hit a fork in the road. And he chose the road less travelled; the one of decks, samples and drum loops.

Working with drummer Tim Thornton and bassist Guy Whittaker, Coldcut’s independent label Ninja Tune have produced four albums supporting him in his move from chill-out tableturner to heart-on-sleeve singer songwriter. He’s also a producer – having worked with Amy Winehouse – a songwriter for John Legend, as well as founder of his own label based in Brighton.

Fink’s worked with the best. Cult indie band Gomez, soul seizing Nitin Sawhney, eyelid-easing soundsters Zero 7 – supporting them after only his fourth live gig – and NY disco-rockers The Rapture. He’s played the Royal Albert Hall, Milan’s 80,000 capacity football stadium, the San Siro and the 2007 BBC Electric Proms. An independent artist with the gravitas of a decades-old band, Fink is the UK music scene’s best kept secret; seal your lips, peel your eyes and open your ears this summer.
